AccuTag Radio Systems: Sensor Networking and Connectivity Technologies

AccuTag Radio Systems offers a comprehensive set of sensor solutions for a variety of customers, from military personnel to firefighters to athletes. Read below for the latest in AccuTag radio and sensor technologies.

 UXO-Tag

When aircraft-mounted bombs are deployed in the combat theatre, the bombs that don't blow up are often more troublesome than the ones that do. Known as unexploded ordnance (UXO), they present our troops with a series of questions: Do we even know where they landed? And if so, what's the acceptable risk for sending ground troops to retrieve the UXO? With UXO-Tag, we've developed highly secure, yet easily detectable and impact-resistant "tags" that an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) can detect from a safe distance, triangulate, and provide intel for safe recovery.

VAIDS

A band of infiltrators gather at the edge of a safe zone. One step forward and they will be in range of a traditional motion detection system. With the Voice Activated Intrusion Detection System (VAIDS) we already caught them when they whispered, "everybody hold up a second". VAIDS represents a giant leap in human voice characterization and recognition. Whereas pure motion detection systems can tell you something is there, with VAIDS, you can determine if someone is there.

 WiFire

In the event of an incendiary strike on a military or commercial aircraft, only seconds separate successful fire suppression and total aircraft loss. Extreme weight restrictions and the likelihood of structural loss prohibit complex wiring and massive suppression devices in aircraft wings. Our compact, ultra-light WiFire device provides millisecond detection and actuation of a wireless suppression system within aircraft wings to put out the fire and save the aircraft.

 SmartVOX

An extension of VAIDS, SmartVOX is a breakthrough in firefighter safety. It uses our latest acoustic signal processing algorithms to reliably determine when a firefighter is speaking so he / she does not have to manually operate a radio. SmartVOX also simultaneously suppresses ambient noise while enhancing important sounds such as the human voice, sirens, and alarms. For the first time, firefighters have a device that can increase the intelligibility of cries for help or verbal commands from first responders.

 IDSS

Ask us about our Intrusion Detection and Surveillance System (IDSS) and it may sound like something from a James Bond movie. In fact, our discrete perimeter monitoring devices can be used for protecting everything from an international border, a remote military installation, an airport's boundaries, or a cattle rancher's property line.

 WearNet

A wearable, wireless biometrics unit, WearNet can amplify the performance of athletes, military trainees, and firefighters. WearNet can measure and report vital statistics that save people from unexpected overheating, dehydration, or potential stroke in times of extreme physical exertion.

 LifeNet

A unique, wireless proximity awareness and localization sensor network embedded into the clothing of firefighters, LifeNet helps the men and women inside the building (and the Incident Commander [IC]) know where other team members are at any given time. LifeNet gives firefighters maximum fireground accountability. If a firefighter becomes trapped or incapacitated, ICs can instantly determine the closest rescuers and dispatch them.
